Juliann Carter, widely known as Crissy and wife of Cushane Carter, recently shared an emotional update on social media, expressing how she has found “peace” through fasting amid the ongoing challenges her family faces.
While she initially did not plan to discuss the situation in depth, she briefly touched on the wave of criticism she has endured following the arrest and charges against CMR in connection to her underage daughter. This marks the first time she has spoken publicly on the matter in nearly four months.
“Only those with understanding will know why I still can’t say anything,” Crissy stated, emphasizing that she has chosen to forgive those who have judged her unfairly.
“I never imagined facing something like this… nothing like this,” she said, reflecting on when she first turned to fasting. However, despite her spiritual efforts, she initially felt overwhelmed by the weight of the situation. “It felt like everything was crashing down on me. When I saw what was happening, I called out to Jesus and asked, ‘Why me?'”
Crissy revealed that although she had wanted to address the public earlier, close confidants advised her to remain silent.
Despite remaining quiet for months, she admitted to feeling attacked by critics. “The enemy tried to break me… they really did. At one point, I thought they would succeed. I felt like I was losing my mind and needed to speak up,” she shared.
Many online voices have urged Crissy to separate from her husband due to his alleged actions. However, the couple has chosen to stay together, keeping much of their family life off social media since 2023.
Reflecting on her hardships, Crissy described this experience as “the worst” of her life, noting that losing her father was another profound low.
CMR, a 35-year-old Jamaican vlogger, was arrested on Saturday, November 2, 2024. The charges were later dropped before the end of the year. In mid-January, the Carter family announced their return to YouTube, reaffirming their unity and resilience.
Their statement addressed the allegations against CMR, clarifying that after a thorough investigation, the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence.
